History

Musicstein became official in 2019 when, out of respect to the rest of the band members at Aftermath Excursion, Ian took the tough decision to not release new material under that name after moving to the UK in 2018.

Ian is currently doing all the music and instrumentation and after unsuccessful attempts to find vocalist options he decided to take on the role, knowing his vocal skills are not at the level they need to be.  However he did not want to delay working on new material any longer.  He has added vocal lessons to his wish list when budget allows.

Musicstein have a raw feel to their sound.

​

The lyrical theme of the music will still be heavily influenced by the events of the world.

​

The first single "Sticks and Stones" was released in July 2019 and covered the themes of political correctness and how it has become popular to be offended by everything.

 

The follow up single, "D-Mockracy Has Failed" was inspired by what they have observed with politics especially in South Africa and the United Kingdom.

​

The third single "Torn Apart" illustrates the bands thrash roots with aggressive guitars driving the song.

​

This band will be non touring for now, at least until the situation in South Africa has improved.
